Maddy

1984, Sainte-Adresse, France

Who am I ? It is very likely that if I knew the answer, my need to create would be less urgent! I always drew, but there was always a better designer than me. I wanted to write but there was always a better writer than me. I wanted to photograph but there was always a better photographer than me. I wanted to play but there was always a better actress than me. But when I started painting no one had anything more to say. As if you could judge everything except a painting. So I kept painting. In a world where almost all cars are black, gray or white, I like my paintings to be as colorful as possible. I don’t want to represent someone or something, I want to give my thought a chance to express itself. This is how I paint.
